Shadez 2: Battle for Earth is the follow up to Shadez: The Black Operations. The player returns as the general of a Mercenary force. This force has been hired by the governments around the world to fight a war that they cannot win. With many nations in ruins from the initial attack, governments have been left with little to defend themselves. This is where you can defeat the enemy and be the dominating force in the world.
The Enemy itself is unknown. This is why you are hired; they came, they saw and they wanted it. They are machine based with no evidence of real intelligence yet just an instinct to kill and eradicate life. They must be stopped before the whole earth is completely wiped-out. Global warming or energy preservation are a thing of the past, survival of the Earth is A1 priority. Now get out there and eradicate them!

How to play Shadez 2?
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD = Scroll the landscape all in directions.
- P = Open the pause menu and pauses the game.
- F = Run the game faster, handy for building faster.
- Z = Toggle the zoom between 100% and 50%.
- Mouse wheel = Zoom the landscape in and out.
- ESCAPE = Cancel the selection and deactivates sell/repair.
Item selection
- Left button = Select the item under cursor.
- SHIFT Left button = Toggle the selection under the cursor.
- CONTROL Left button = Select all units of that type.
- Double left button = Select all units of that type.
- Left button & drag box = Select all units inside the box.
Grouping
- 0 to 9 = Select group set to that number.
- SHIFT 0 to 9 = Set the current selection as a group.
Specific item selection
- H / SHIFT-H = Select the Head quarters / Select and Zoom to.
- B / SHIFT-B = Select the Barracks / Select and Zoom to.
- V / SHIFT-V = Select the Vehicle Factory / Select and Zoom to.
- F / SHIFT-F = Select the Airfield / Select and Zoom to.
- C / SHIFT-C = Select the Strike Center / Select and Zoom to.
- N = Select the next item and zoom to it.
- T = Zoom to and if held down tracks the current selection.
